OAcademy is free to apply and you only need to pay if selected.

Subsidized Tuition

The 2026 OAcademy Orchestra Institute Artist Diploma is valued at $10,200 per participant. Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, OAcademy’s subsidized tuition covers most of the costs associated with honoraria for world-class faculty, mentors, and module leaders. Each accepted participant automatically receives a fellowship bursary that reduces the out-of-pocket cost by 75%. Early Bird bursaries are available for applications received before July 15, 2025.

Deadlines l Tuition Levels: 

• Pre-admissions: apply by May 1 | 2,195 USD
• Early Bird applicants: apply by July 15 | 2,295 USD
• Regular applicants: apply by October 1 | 2,550 USD 

In-person residencies

While not required to earn the Artist Diploma, fellows are offered a range of in-person residencies as part of the OAcademy experience. All core ground costs, including shared lodging, meals, and ground transportation are covered by OAcademy through a network of partnerships. Flights are covered directly by fellows as an optional expense if electing to take part.

When the fees are due

If you are invited to participate in OAcademy, your place in the Cohort is only confirmed upon receipt of your enrollment fee or a deposit, which must be submitted within two weeks of being invited to take part. All enrollment fee payments are non-refundable.

Scholarship Fund

Applicants fulfilling specific criteria are eligible for additional scholarships covering up to 95% of tuition costs, supported through our Partner network. Please check the current list of scholarship opportunities to know whether you can apply under this stream.

• 3 scholarships offered to Chilean Fellows in partnership with FOJI - Fundación de Orquestas Juveniles e Infantiles de Chile
• 5 scholarships offered to Colombian Fellows in partnership with Filarmónica Joven de Colombia - Fundación Bolívar Davivienda
• 1 scholarship offered to Dominican Fellows in partnership with Fundación Sinfonía
• 5 scholarships offered to harpists from Spain, United Kingdom or Latin America in partnership with Tierra 47
• 2 scholarships offered to members of OVO – Orquestra de Formação e Transformação (Brazil)
