OAcademy is free to apply and you only need to pay if selected.
Subsidized Tuition
Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, OAcademy’s subsidized tuition covers the majority of the costs associated with honoraria for world-class faculty, mentors, and module leaders. Each accepted participant automatically receives a fellowship bursary that reduces the out-of-pocket cost to $3,750 USD. Further bursaries are available for applications received before July 15, 2025.
Deadlines | Tuition Levels:
- Early Bird applicants: apply by July 15 | 3,600 USD
- Regular applicants: apply by October 1 | 3,750 USD
In-person residencies
While these are not required to earn the Artist Diploma, fellows are offered a range of in-person residencies as part of the OAcademy experience. All core ground costs, including shared lodging, meals, and ground transportation are covered by OAcademy through a network of partnerships. Flights are covered directly by fellows as an optional expense if electing to take part.
When the fees are due
If you are invited to participate in OAcademy, your place in the Cohort is only confirmed upon receipt of your enrollment fee or a deposit, which must be submitted within two weeks of being invited to take part. All enrollment fee payments are non-refundable.
Scholarship Fund
We are pleased to announce that in 2026, our partnership with FOJI - Fundación de Orquestas Juveniles e Infantiles de Chile will award one scholarship for a conductor or composer to participate in OAcademy 2026.
Requirements:
1. Be at least 18 years old on January 1, 2026 (there is no age limit).
2. Have sufficient command of English to participate without translation.
3. To apply for the FOJI scholarship at OAcademy 2026, you must have participated in any youth or children's orchestras in Chile as a musician, conductor, teacher, monitor, or composer, or have participated in a course or program organized by FOJI.
The selection of the scholarship recipient will be made jointly by OAcademy and FOJI, and applications from women will be given priority.
